I just had the best weekend of my life!!! I finally got to see Hole
at Jamboree '99!!! It was so cool and Courtney Love was amazing!!! She
came on stage in a really classy way and I will never forget it!!!! I
went with a bunch of friends (one of them is actually on the list,
Drey294). I had a seat, but she didn't, so I snuck her in. We got up
really close to the stage, but all these guards and mean people kept
yelling at us and telling us to go back, but we didn't care. Courtney
started it all out with Doll Parts, and Then Awful. She then went to
POTI and all that. She sang a lot considering she only had one hour
(she sang for more than she was supposed to, i guess it was because
everyone was having so much fun)! During Celebrity Skin, all this
glitter shot into the air. It was really awesome!!! She kept jumping
off the stage and into the crowd, she was sooo cool. She actually got
into a fist fight with this one girl who told her that she killed kurt,
and she was like "get that dumb bitch out of here". She also kept
telling us to run up to the stage, and that she wouldn't let the guards
stop us or anything because she was the performer. My friend and I
were about to run up there, but the guard stopped us. I then jumped
onto my seat and waved my hands and I think she waved back, but I'm not
sure. At one point she took her shirt off. For the first couple
minutes I though she was naked, but then I saw she was wearing a bra.
It was skin colored though. Anyways, I took about 15 pictures of the
hole performance (you weren't supposed to bring in cameras, but I did
anyways!!!) I'm geting them back tomorrow so I wil let you guys know
how they turned out. I was definately the biggest Hole fan there! I
was screaming so loud I could hardly talk the next day. I was also
listening to the radio yesterday (Q101), and the VJ's were saying that
everyone's favorite performance was hole. I have to agree. No one
else even compared. She was also making fun of offspring during their
performance. Courtney also sang this song that she said she would only
sing in Chicago. There apparently was this Chicago band called
Material Issue that wrote tis one song that she liked. The lead singer
committed suicide or something, so she said it was a special song. The
performance was just sooooo incredible, and I can't wait until Hole
comes back to Chicago! Courtney said something about us being her
favorite crowd. Anyways, I purchased one of the hole shirts there.
Something that I thought was wierd was that the dates on the back of it
was from the Hole-Manson concert. I got mad that they didn't sign
autographs, because I brought my Cd there, but oh well. Pictures are
better. I will remember it forever with those!!!!

Hello fellow Hole fans...I just got back from Jamboree where Hole played
tonight here in Chicago. It was amazing. There is no words for it, it was
just the best day of my life and their show was simply amazing.
I had box seats, which seemed to be pretty good until Hole came out and I
realized I was too far away, so I ran down like 10 flights of stairs and got
really close to the stage...but I'll get to that part later.
When they came out to the stage the first song they played was Violet. Which
was fuckin amazing to hear that song live, I screamed out every lyric, as did
every other Hole fan there. Then they went in to awful, then pretty on the
inside, and I really forgot the rest because I was in such shock. Well,
anyway, I was pretty close the the stage, but not as close as I wanted to be,
but the asshole security boys wouldn't let me go. So I held up my sign, It
said, "Courtney Is My Fairy God Mother" and Courtney kept on staring at it
and she couldn't make it out, so she said, "theirs girls over there who have
a sign and I can't read it, get them up here!" so I ran past as many security
boys as I can, but when i got to one he stooped me, and Courtney started
saying something like, "I have the power now since I am on stage and you
security guards can't stop fans from coming up here." So she started pulling
up ALL these girl hole fans, they all seemed like real fans too. Some of the
had baby doll dresses on, and it was so cute. So, She ran by me and I held up
my sign and she looked at me, smiled at me and grabbed my hand and wanted to
get me up on stage. But there was like a 6 foot ledge that I couldn't get
over, and the security guard was being an asshole and telling me that there
was already enough people up there, BUT SHE HELD MY AND AND GRABBED MY HAND
AND SMILED AT ME AND READ MY SIGN! AND I WAS CRYING DURING ALL OF THIS
BECAUSE THEY MEAN SOOOOO MUCH TO ME, it was the most amazing day. It really
was. I met a lot of fellow Hole fans to, HOLE FANS UNITE! I thought that was
really cool. We were all united and it was great.
Courtney did come in to the crowd a few times. She was almost crowed surfing
too, which I was suprised to see her doing, but she seemed to be very careful
when she did it.
She talked a lot. I think it was before Doll Parts that she said Cameron Diaz
wrote that song. hahah. hmm some of the things she said were "Princesses
should be nice to fat girls because I was a fat girl and the princesses
should be nice to them...Jocks should be nice to faggots...Jocks should be
nice to the freaks.." And so on. At one point some bitch in a Kurt Cobain
tee shirt was screaming, "YOU KILLED KURT!" Courtney got verrrrrry pissed
about this. EXTREMELY PISSED. She started getting in to a fight with her, I
didn't see it, because that girl was on the other side of the stage. But
someone told me about it. I guess they got in to a fist fight and they were
punching each other. Courtney said, "Get that fuckin bitch out of there. She
is saying that I killed my husband and the father of my daughter" She just
kept on calling her a STUPID FUCKIN BITCH. Then the security boys took that
bitch away.
She did give her guitar away to a girl. I didn't get a good look at the
girl, but she seemed cool from what I saw of her. I'm assuming she was a Hole
fan. I think she had a Hole shirt on. The security boys took her with them to
get a guitar case and I touched the guitar as it passed by. haha I'm a dork.
Um what else...I got a Hole bear, one of the last two, they are soo cute! And
I got a black shirt with Courtney on the front which says "Shut up!" on the
back. It doesn't say"shut up your only 16" though. and a cute Hole tank with
the barbie type of logo on it.
oh yeah. Hole canceled there autograph session. I was pretty sad.
When the tour busses were leaving, Courtney came out by Hole's tour bus and
there were like 15 people, including me. and we all yelled her name and she
smiled and waved at us. But she didn't come up to us. =*(
She wore a shiny pink knee length skirt, and a pink bikini top. She took the
bikini top off when she was coming off the stage.
There was this one girl that grabbed her head and Courtney didn't like that,
so she gave her a bitch slap in the face, that was pretty funny.
Courtney is very funny on stage. She says a lot of funny things. She is
pretty bitchy too, which makes her even more amazing.
She had DIVA written on her stomach with black marker. The "A" was an anarchy
symbol. That shows she still is a punk at heart!
I *think* that's it. If I remember something else, I*ll email it.
I got in to lots of fights with the security guards because they kept on
asking me to move and go back to my seat. A lot of people had this problem.
One of the nicest thing is that there was a lot of Hole fans at the show, and
from the ones I talked to, they seem like true fans, It was just really nice
that we were united there all together.
It really depresses me though that Courtney wanted me to come up on stage
with all the other girls, and I couldn't go up because of the security and
everything. But she held my hand and that image of her reading my sign and
smiling at me and smiling as she read the sign, then holding my hand so tight
will be in my head till the day I die. It was the best day. Best of luck to
those of you who are going to see Hole soon.
