SET LIST
Violet

As you can see, one downside was the length -- about an hour and 15 or 20 minutes.
That sucked. A local Dayton band opened, and they were lame. A final minus was the venue
-- it was an old, pretty theatre. That's fine, but there was no room to thrash/dance,
and the security was extra paranoid, used to "handling" the Disney musical crowd, not a Hole show.
Overall, it was a good show, my first Hole one. Melissa looked stunning. Courtney groped her
breasts a lot. The song selection was strong, esp. at the beginning.

The show started in perfect punk rock style with the lights turning on,
Courtney standing at the microphone smoking a cigarette, holding her guitar
and just looking all sorts of pissed off. Everyone in the band looked
awesome, especially Love with a new hair cut. Melissa played her silver
glitter bass and at some point went over to the lights, sending reflections
into the crowd, and having Courtney comment that Auf der Maur was "such a
Rock Goddess." Some guy had a Kurt shirt on, Love asked, "why would you
wear the father of my child to the show?", and had him take it off.
Courtney jumped into the crowd once, but quickly got out after some guy
grabbed her. There wasn't much yelling on Miss Love's part, but when
Melissa and Courtney harmonize together it sounds unbelievably awesome! The
set list isn't in order but, I will say Malibu has a new twist which kicks
unholy ass, and in no particular order: Violets, POTI, Malibu, Miss World,
Doll Parts, Awful, CS, Northern Star, Dying, Boys on the Radio, Use Once and
Destroy, the last song for sure was "It's All Over Baby Blue. Stage
lighting, backgrounds, and the special effects, all in all made this show
worth watching and waiting for.
